Pirates of the caribbean soundtrack

Hi again!
Another movie, which has got a relly great theme, is pirates of the caribbean.
The fact, that Jerry Bruckheimer wanted to make a film adapting the famous Disney-series Pirates of the caribbean, made it a must-see for mainstream cinema-goers. Being expected to become such a famous film, of course a great soundtrack was extremely important. The first person who comes to mind in such a case naturally is Hans Zimmer and his soundtrack-empire. As he was currently involved into another production, the main part was shifted to Klaus Badelt (a member of the Zimmer gang).
The sound greatly underlines especially the action-scenes, and has a cool melody you automatically start whistling. That is the main reason, why I like it.

Gladiator soundtrack

Hello again!
Today I would like to talk about another really great and awesome soundtrack. As to be seen in the title of my post I mean that one of the brilliant movie Gladiator srarring Rusell Crowe. Hearing the name Hans Zimmer you can watch a film with great expectations concerning the music. In Gladiator this expectations are fulfilled more than completely. The first soundtrack, being released in the same year the movie was shown in the cinemas, became so successful that a sequel was produced. This is a fact speaking for the genious masterpiece of composition Mister Zimmer laid down here. My favourite theme is the one you hear whenever Maximus becomes involved into a battle. In a very impressive way I came across it during the first half an hour with the roman legions fighting the germans.
I personally can only recommend the movie as well as the soundtrack

Lord of the rings soundtrack

The first soundtrack I'd like to deal with is the one of the lord of the rings.
It was composed by Howard Shore. As he knew for what a great movie he had to make the music, he spent for months of conducting research for material. The final result of this long time, working closely together with Peter Jackson an hos co writers, was a masterpiece of music, that marked a turning point in the history of movie soundtracks.
I personally really love this soundtrack, as it greatly underlines the action in the film. Somehow it sucks you directly into what you are seeing, making you actively feel with the characters. Some of my favourite scenes where the music is dominating the atmosphere appears to you when the camera shows Isengard and the Orks working or when the fellowship is in Moria, trying to reach the Bridge of Khazad-Dum.
Nearly all the battle scenes have a great musical background.
